Day 1
Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. Meet your professional driver-guide for a short briefing before departing for Lake Manyara National Park.
Upon arrival, enter the park and begin your game drive through its diverse landscapes, which include groundwater forests, open grasslands, woodland and the lakeshore. Lake Manyara is known for its rich birdlife, beautiful scenery and varied wildlife.
During the game drive, look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, baboons and other wildlife species. The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, although sightings are not guaranteed. Bird enthusiasts may spot flamingos when present, pelicans, storks and numerous other bird species depending on seasonal conditions.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site before continuing your afternoon game drive, exploring more of the park and enjoying its natural beauty.
Later in the afternoon, leave Lake Manyara National Park and drive to Karatu Tented Lodge. Upon arrival, check in, relax and enjoy dinner before your overnight stay.

Day 2
Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast at Karatu Tented Lodge, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Travel towards the Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying the beautiful highland scenery along the way.
Upon arrival, descend into the crater for an exciting game drive across its remarkable landscape of grasslands, wetlands, woodland and small lakes. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Tanzania's most celebrated wildlife destinations and offers excellent opportunities to observe a variety of animals in a relatively concentrated area.
During your exploration, look for lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, hyenas and hippos. With some luck, you may also encounter the endangered black rhinoceros. Your driver-guide will help you locate wildlife and share information about animal behaviour and the crater's unique ecosystem.
At midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at an authorised picnic site. After lunch, continue your game drive, exploring additional areas of the crater and looking for more wildlife encounters.
In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and return to Karatu Tented Lodge. Spend the evening relaxing after a memorable day in one of Africa's most extraordinary natural environments. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
